The Doctor’s Orders: History of Hiphop Terrace Party @ Southbank – Saturday 13 August


A hip-hop progressive party through the decades? It’s just what the Doctor ordered.

The Doctor’s Orders, ‘Kings of the capital’s Hip-Hop scene’ (Time Out), bring the history of hip-hop alive on our beautiful terrace overlooking the Thames. Get into the groove with some of the UK’s best DJs and MCs, as they take you from 70s soul breaks through 80s rap and 90s Boom Bap, right up to today’s trap bangers.

Featuring DJ Spin Doctor, Mo Fingaz, CWD, Chris Read, Russ Ryan, DJ LoK & Ralphonze 90, plus live appearances from Jehst and Cappo.

B:Supreme Battles and Workshops @ Southbank Centre – Saturday 13 August


As B.Supreme prepare to turn ten, they are back for another year of all female hip-hop fun at Southbank Centre.

This year’s programme will feature two Michael Jackson themed workshops and kids’ ‘all styles’ battle, before finishing the day with an incredible b-boy and b-girl crew battle featuring some of the best dancers from across the globe battling it out in front of the judges to be crowned the B.Supreme winner.

2pm – 3pm, Waacking/Hip-Hop with Jessie

3pm – 4pm, Kids MJ Battle (judged by Jessie & Geni)

Workshops are open to all levels and ages. Children can sign up on the day to battle.

Celebrate street culture with The Bridge‘s line-up of dance, graffiti artwork, and music.

The Bridge is back for a fourth year, jam-packed with good vibes for the whole family. The classic outdoor hip-hop summer jam is hosted by MCs TY and Breis.

Enjoy the summer sunshine with a serving of funk, soul and classic hip-hop care of some of the UK’s top DJs. See live graffiti artwork and and dancers from Popping, Breaking and House, plus some classic New Jack Swing party dances. The Bridge is a non-stop family friendly participatory event that culminates in London’s friendliest social dance party.
