Following last June’s Philosophy4Cyphers training conducted by Darren Chetty with support from SAPERE, Poetcurious and Tanga Wanda (Tang the Pilgrim) have set up and run a successful monthly event HEADSPIN at Machine No.3 in Homerton, East London. The event fuses poetry performances with philosophical dialogue.

This month both the course and the event are featured in the SAPERE newsletter. HEADSPIN represents HipHopEdUk’s first foray into facilitating rich and stimulating dialogue outside of educational settings. As this is also the first time SAPERE have supported a program centred around Hip-Hop pedagogy, this article reflects a bold and important stride for all involved in the HipHopEdUk movement.
